Mine Deep Mine Undergrove Hot Hot Hot

Refer to the Mine page for further information.

Here are some preference tips early game from some Dinkum veterans on what to pack for some mine trips in a Surviving the Mines Guide.

The Undergrove is considered its own biome where the player can find specific animals, bugs, resources, and treasures that are sometimes not found elsewhere. It is the second level of the Mine.

Note: Peaceful Wish will not affect the behaviour of Grubs or Pincher Plants; However, dangerous wish still applies.

Resources Found
Berkonium Ore  Copper Ore  Emerald  Fossil  Iron Ore
Marble  Old Contraption  Old Gear  Old Spring  Old Wheel
Quartz Crystal  Shiny Stone  Stone  Tin Ore

A Crusher has been added to each Mine level (Deep Mine, Undergrove and Hot Hot Hot) for crushing Gemstones and Raw Berkonium.

Breaking gemstones with weapons or tools now drops 1 shard (Ruby Shard, Emerald Shard, Aquamarine Shard), and for raw berkonium it is 0-1 chance for Berkonium Ore.

Using the crusher with gemstones may give 4 shards and a random chance of a perfect gem (Perfect Aquamarine, Perfect Emerald, Perfect Ruby). The raw berkonium may give 3 Berkonium Ore.

Treasure Room[]

Each Treasure Room requires more than two Old Keys to unlock the gates.

Hint:🕯️ 'Lit' treasure rooms need only 2 keys, if opening the door from the north west door entry. The unlit rooms have Emerald ores in them and no treasure chests. There are also more complex unlit rooms, with multiple doors and emerald ores.

Chest Loot[]

The green wooden chests can be found in the Undergrove and Island Reef.

Each chest contains 5-7 items with 1 paint guaranteed. Gold and Chrome paint are exclusive from Jimmy.

The chest can be picked up after emptying the items from inside it or use a Hand Trolley to move/relocate the chest.

How to access the Undergrove[]

Place four ruby shards, collected by placing an Ruby in the gemstone crusher, to set the mine level. The mine level will stay for the entire day. Use a Mine Pass to make the journey down.

Radiation[]

⚠️!!!Warning!!!: At 11pm the mines will shake with a rumbling noise indicating that it is getting late in the game. At 12am, or Late, the mine will rumble again and emit radiation throughout the entire map constantly dealing 1 damage per 2 seconds to the player, but will not harm the animals. The effect is similar to that of a Glowing Croco's AoE radiation attack.
