Relics

Relics can be found by digging in the ground with a  Shovel.

They can be found with a  Metal Detector and occasionally with a visual "X" on the ground if the player has a Level 2 or higher Metal Detecting Licence.

Along with relics, the opportunity to dig up an Amber Chunk is a great find.

Since the Anniversary Update 0.7.5, John will pay less for relics.

Drops

Digging up buried treasure can spawn an Old Barrel, a Wheelie Bin, or some relics from the following table.

Car Relics are hidden inside the Deep Mine and breaking them can yield relics.
