Relics can be found by digging in the ground with a Shovel or Compactor/Improved Compactor.
Relics can be found with a Metal Detector and occasionally with a visual "X" on the ground if the player has a Level 2 or higher Metal Detecting Licence.
Along with relics, the opportunity to dig up an Amber Chunk is a great find.
Relics can be placed into the Key-Cycler to produce one (1) Old Key.

Digging up buried treasure can spawn an Old Barrel, a Wheelie Bin, or some relics from the following table.
Car Relics are hidden inside the Deep Mine and breaking them can yield relics.
Bin Chooks drop a random relic after being hunted or trapped when sent off on the Animal Collection Point. The relic will appear in the mailbox when the trap is returned.
