Method	How to get the Opal
Opal Ore Rocks	Use a Copper Pickaxe or above to mine rocks with an Opal sticking out of it. They are rare, and the spawn chance depends on the players Mining Licence level. Opal Ore Rocks have a better chance to spawn when the level of the Mining Licence is higher. They are still very rare, even on the highest level.
Shiny Stone and Stone Grinder	Insert a Shiny Stone into the Stone Grinder for a 1% chance to get an Opal.
Thunder Egg	Break a Thunder Egg open to obtain 4 Opals.
Deep Mine	Opals can also be found from chests inside locked treasure rooms in the Deep Mine and Undergrove.
Gacha Machine	Insert 5,000 into a Gacha Machine for a small chance to obtain an Opal.
Jimmy's Boat	Opals can be purchased from Jimmy for 300,000. Random stock rotation.
Island Reef	Opals can be found in buried chests in Island Reef.
