The Mailbox is outside the player's Tent or House. When there is mail the flag waves and it makes a constant clanking noise. 📬🎵
Occasionally a letter will arrive from the Bug Tipster or the Fishing Tipster that will inform the player about an undiscovered bug or fish, the biome, and time of day to find it.
Note: There is a current bug where sometimes the Tipster will say "...in the unknown location".
Animal traps and dinks from the Animal Research Centre, commissioned tools from Franklyn, clothes from Clover, and furniture from Melvin also find their way to the mailbox the next day after purchase. Purchasing multiples of the same item will result in multiple letters with one item per letter. ✉️📫
Once the player has reached a certain relationship level with an NPC, they will start to receive mail from the NPC. Expect delightful surprises like Dinks, tasty food, stylish clothing, or cozy furniture. 🪙🥗👗🪑
Items will also be sent to the mailbox when the player's pockets are full, after trying to hand in jobs to NPCs when they offer gifts as the reward.
To make collecting easier, there’s a handy “Collect & Delete All” button. Items will be collected from the mailbox if there is space in the player's inventory.
To save a letter in the mailbox open a piece a mail and click on the "Save ⭐️" button.
In multiplayer, all players can check their mail at the mailbox or Post Box.
