| John | John's Goods |
|---|
If you help John build his shop you will have a place where you will be able to buy a wide range of tools, machines, and even food! Isn’t that great!? Oh and I almost forgot! If you have some spare things that you don’t need anymore, John will buy them from you. A good way to get extra Dinks straight to your pocket.
John's Goods is the general store owned and run by John, selling various tools, production devices, and other useful items. He will buy fruit, fish, bugs, rocks, and almost any kind of item.
Some products in stock will randomly rotate and others are in stock year-round. It is important to note that only one of each item can be purchased per day even in multiplayer.
John will visit the Visitors Site the day after the site is built. Increase relationship hearts with John by completing daily jobs and spending >
15,000 in his store. Once John's relationship is > 1/4 heart (25% of 1 heart), he will ask Fletch to move in. Speak to Fletch for the dialogue for John to ask to move in. Hint: John's favourite food is
Cooked Croco Meat.
When John is visiting in the Visitors Site, the opening hours are everyday from 7am to 4pm.
After John moves to the Island he is open Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm. It is common knowledge that John is always late for work. If the player enters the building after closing, John will leave the sales counter which means the player cannot purchase or sell goods.
After raising John's relationship hearts to 4 ♥️♥️♥️♥️, he will give the player the Recycling Bin recipe.
- John's Goods Anniversary event is held from 1 Summer to 7 Summer (from Year 2 onwards).
Deed[]
The
Shop Deed is acquired by talking to Fletch "about the town" once John is ready to move in.
Fletch will give the player the deed to decide where to place it. Construction will not start until all the required materials have been placed inside the deposit box on the build site.
There is a donation box in the Base Tent/Town Hall to pay off the Town Debt.
All debts need to be paid off in full before another deed can be applied for.
After construction commences it will take 2 nights to complete.

Moving a Building[]
To move a building, visit Fletch, select Lets talk about the town and I want to move a building.
- The deed list provided is for the buildings currently in the town. Select the one to relocate.
- Relocating a building will put the town
25,000 in debt. - Place the deed down in the new location. (Note: The new building placement cannot occupy the same area as the current building so the player must move the building to a vacant spot large enough for it first, then move it again if they wanted to move a building 1 tile or so over.)
- Remove all carriables from inside a building before moving, otherwise these items will be left in the void.
- To move the host's house, speak to Fletch "About my house ...". Refer to House for more information.
- Furniture and placed items inside the house/guest house do not rotate with a new orientation.
- The building will be moved over night.
- No additional materials are required.
- All the materials are here. Construction will start tomorrow.
- If a building is already being relocated, this needs to conclude before another building can be moved.
