Island Day is a celebration event held on 28 Spring at the Band Stand where NPCs congregate to annually celebrate the arrival on your island.
During this entire day NPCs will not go to work, nor will they have the dialogues for completing jobs or asking for tasks.
☀️ The weather "clears" in the morning to be sunny all day when events are held at the band stand. If the weather station showed that there was rain in the morning for the next day (event day), Jimmy will still spawn onto the map.
Fletch will be at the BBQ cooking some Snags for everyone. Talk to Fletch for details about the day's events. She will explain what day it is, when to return for a snag between 12pm-3pm and about the evening's surprise event.
Eating a snag is important to gain an additional hunger pie slice, so that the player can consume 4 items from their first Island Day and 5 items from their second Island Day. There is only one given each Island Day event. Players can visit others during Island Day in multiplayer as long as they arrive before 12pm they can participate in getting a snag from Fletch between 12pm-3pm. The maximum hunger pie slice is 5. Snags have some great buffs as well. Check the Snag page for further details.
Talk to the NPCs when they have an object in their hand to get one for yourself! You can get a green or gold Balloon and a Party Horn.
Stick around after sunset for a wonderful display of fireworks. The fireworks will appear in the direction that the player is looking.
The next day is the start of John's Goods Anniversary Event, which runs from the 1st to the 7th of Summer in Year 2.
