Hunting is unlocked by purchasing the Hunting Licence from Fletch.

Max level for stamina benefits is reached at 50.

Getting Started[]

Weapons[]

The player will need to craft a weapon before hunting animals. While tools like axes and pickaxes can deal damage, it’s highly recommended to use a dedicated weapon for hunting, as their damage output is significantly higher.

Crafting[]

Purchasing a Hunting Licence unlocks weapon recipes, and each subsequent level will grant access to stronger weapons. Unlike tools, weapons are not available for purchase at John's Goods. Players can purchase weapons from the wandering hunter Ted Selly. Additionally, they can find a Sling Shot inside a chest in the Deep Mine.

Weapon Types[]

There are various weapons for hunting, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Check out the Weapons page for a detailed list of weapons and their stats.

Alpha Variants[]

To hunt an Alpha Animal, the player must accept an available hunting quest at the Bulletin Board.

Once the quest has been accepted, a red map marker will appear on the Island Map indicating its location.

There are three variants to hunt on the main island:

These are stronger variants of the Bush Devil, Croco and Jackaroo. All of them will drop Raw Prime Meat and a specific Alpha drop (see Animals for a table of the drops). The quests also give a good amount of Inv Dinks Dinks.

An Alpha Shark is able to be hunted after travelling to the Island Reef, locating and breaking up a shipwreck for it to appear.
