Fishing is a skill that allows the player to catch fish from the various bodies of water in game.
How to Fish[]
To begin the player must first talk to Fletch and purchase the Level 1 Fishing Licence for 250. Then they are able to purchase a Fishing Rod from John's Goods for 1,200.
The player must place the Fishing Rod into a slot on the toolbelt to use it. While near a body of water the player must and click and hold the left mouse button to charge up a cast. The holder the mouse button is held the further the cast will go. Once cast if fish are near the bobber they will become interested and begin to nibble. After a varying number of nibbles the fish will bite and the bobber will drop below the surface of the water. This is accompanied by a Thunk! sound in game. When this happens the player must quickly set the hook by pressing the left mouse button.
Now that the fish has been set on the hook it will begin to struggle against the line. When the fish is struggling (indicated by splashes) the player must not reel. If the player attempts to reel in the fish during this time the line may break. When the fish stops struggling (no more splashes) the player should then hold the left mouse button to reel in the fish. This process may need to be repeated multiple times depending upon the distance of the fish and the quality of the Fishing Rod. Once the fish has been reeled in completely the player will hold it in their hands with a notification indicating what was caught. It will then go in the player's inventory unless full. If full the player has a choice to swap it with another item.
Note: Stamina usage during fishing is directly affected by player skill level as well as the quality of the rod. Max level for stamina benefits is reached at 75.

Tips & Tricks[]
- Having trouble getting the fish hooked? Watch for the bobber to dip fully beneath the water or wait for the louder thunk! sound.
- The camera can be rotated to get a better view of the fish as it swims and/or nibbles on the line.
- There are quite a few video & text based guides online that explain fishing in detail.
- Getting a better fishing rod helps reel fish in faster. (A higher level licence is not required to use better tools.)
- Consume Jelly Brew and Fish and Chips while fishing - they have fishing buffs!
- A Fish Book is a great way to find a particular fish and discover new ones. New fish will show with ??? instead of a name.
