The Croco is a wild animal in Dinkum.

Location[]

Found in Billabong, Rivers, and Mangroves.

Varieties[]

Croco
Glowing Croco
Alpha Croco

Behaviour[]

Crocos are aggressive by default. Their attacks are comprised of a bite as well as a tail slash. Both attacks are telegraphed in advance.

Bush Devils, Crocos and Glowing Crocos become aggressive if the player is wearing the Bush Devil Hood, even on Peaceful Wish.

Hunting[]

The various forms of the spear tend to be the most versatile weapon for hunting in game. Please see the weapons page for more information on weapon types available.

Trapping[]

Crocos can be trapped with an Animal Trap and sent off on the Animal Collection Point. Once sent, players will receive a reward the following in-game day via the Mailbox, along with the returned trap {and for some animals maybe an additional surprise}.

Some animals may need less health to stay in a trap. Refer to the Animal Trap page for further information.

At night, players can temporarily stun an animal using a Torch or Bat Zapper. Keep in mind that the stun effect only lasts a few seconds—so it's crucial to have a trap ready and, if possible, an Animal Collection Point nearby. This ensures the player can quickly secure and send off the animal before it recovers and escapes.

Attracting with a Berley Box[]

The Berley Box is a placeable item that attracts specific animals for a limited time. Players can purchase a Croco Berley Box from Ted Selly.

When placed, it releases coloured smoke indicating the animal type it attracts. Up to three animals of that type will spawn nearby in matching smoke. If any are lost to hunting, predation, or trapping, new ones will appear until the box deactivates. Spawned animals remain even after the box becomes inactive.

Production[]

Upon death, they will drop Croco Meat, Crocodile Tooth and rarely Bone.

Threats[]

Crocos are typically only threatened by other strong predators, like the Bush Devil. Packs of Diggos are also known to challenge Crocos, but not always with the best results for the Diggos.
