The player is able to purchase a Baby Chook after obtaining the Animal Handling Licence Level 1. It is available for purchase when Irwin is in the Visitors Site and in Irwin's Barn. It takes 3 days for the baby chook to become an adult and can be different colors.

Usage

It sleeps in a Bird Coop and eats Animal Food. It will produce Chicken Eggs everyday once fully grown and will produce Big Chicken Eggs after its hearts reach a certain level.

Animal Care

When caring for farm animals, three things can be done to increase their hearts for higher quality products. Doing all 3 will raise their hearts quickly. Food is required for Vombats and Chooks to produce, but Pleeps need both food and shelter.

1. Food - The Chook needs to eat Animal Food once per day from an Animal Feeder. Unfed animals do not die, but they will become unhappy and stop producing.
2. Shelter - Each Bird Coop provides shelter for one Chook. Chooks will not benefit from other types of animal shelters.
3. Attention - Pet the Chook each day. A flurry of stars will appear over the Chook. The Guitar can also fulfill this need. Sometimes NPCs will wander into the animal pen if there is a gate and pet the animal.
