The Bush Devil is a wild animal in Dinkum.

Location

Found in Pine Forests bone dens and in the Deep Mine.

• Destroying all of the tall rocks that form the den will remove the spawn point.

Behaviour

Bush Devils are aggressive by default. However, they are nocturnal. Their attacks are comprised of a bite as well as a forward projected fireball that will catch the target on fire if it connects.

Hunting

The various forms of the spear tend to be the most versatile weapon for hunting in game. Please see the weapons page for more information on weapon types available.

If fighting this animal in the mines, it may be more effective to use a Flaming Bat rather than a spear as the bat also provides a light source.

Trapping

Bush Devils can be trapped and sent off in the Animal Collection Point. A reward is received the next in-game day via mail along with your returned trap. To assist in trapping a Bush Devil damage them until their health is low. You can then use the Torch to stun the Bush Devil and place the trap on them. Stunning will only work for a few seconds so have the trap ready. At night the Bat Zapper can be used to stun the animal.

Production

Upon death, they will drop Raw Meat, Bone and rarely a Flame Sac.

Threats

Bush Devils are typically only threatened by other strong predators, like the Croco above ground and the Glowing Croco in the mines.
