Bug Catching	Bugs	Bug Tank

The following is a list of bugs in Dinkum. Bugs are more common in Spring.

Use a bug net to catch the Bugs.

A bug net is purchased from John at John's Goods, though the first one is obtained from Fletch in the Base Tent after the player's Tent has been placed.

Bugs can be

• Donated to the  Museum (one per species)
• Sold to  John's Goods
• Sold to  Ted Selly for 2 times the value
• Gifted to NPCs to fulfill certain daily requests
• Placed on display in a  Bug Tank which can be stacked two high
• Sold to  Julia for 2.5 times their value on the 15th of Spring and Autumn when she visits for the Bug Catching Comp
• Dropped and released back into the wild

Put the bug in a slot on the toolbelt and left-click to place down a bug inside a  Bug Tank (or "x" on Xbox controller).

Increase your bug catching skill to unlock the crafting recipes for the  Bee House and  Worm Farm.

Bugs can be found throughout various Biomes; Pine Forest, Plains, Tropics, Desert, and Bushlands.

The Bug Book is a great tool for catching certain bugs.

The Museum Donations by Seasons page groups the Fish, Bugs and Critters for easy viewing.

The Museum Donation Chart is an easy to view chart to compare with the in-game Pedia. The Pedia is sorted by rarity first, then value.

• Some bugs appear year-round, while others only appear throughout a specific season. The most valuable bugs in Dinkum are the Emperor Dragonfly, Goliath Stick and Birdwing Butterfly.
