Barcoo Grunter

The Barcoo Grunter is found in the Billabong, Mangroves, and Rivers at Any Time in Any Season.

General Information

Use a fishing rod to catch fish that can be found throughout various water biomes such as the Ocean, Rivers, Billabong, and Mangroves.

A basic fishing rod is purchased from John's Goods after obtaining the Fishing Licence Level 1 from Fletch for 250 permit points.

Increase the fishing skill to be able to craft the new fishing rod for increased line durability. At fishing skill level 5, the fishing licence level 2 is available for purchase which unlocks the Copper Fishing Rod at the Crafting Table. The fishing licence level 3 is available at skill level 10 and unlocks the Iron Fishing Rod and Crab Pot.

Consume food and drink that have the fishing buff to increase reel in speed. This will help to catch fish more easily.

Sold to Ted Selly for 2 times the value
Sold to Max for 2.5 times the value, during the Summer and Winter fishing competitions
Gifted to NPCs to fulfil certain daily requests
Placed down in a fish tank for display
Cooked on a campfire or BBQ. Depending on the type of fish, it will produce either Cooked Freshwater Fish, Cooked Saltwater Fish or Cooked Blob Fish. The amount of cooked items received will vary depending on the value of the fish.
