Axes

The Axe is a starting tool used for

cutting down trees, stumps and mangroves, which give a log type dependent on the tree chopped. There is a chance for a Bee Hive, to drop which is also dependent on the tree.
break open old barrels and wheelie bins to reveal its treasure.
small amount of damage when used as a weapon.
harvest seeds from grass, ferns and bushes.

Purchase the Logging Licences from Fletch with Permit Points. The level 1 licence will allow the player to purchase the Basic Axe from John's Goods.

The axe can be upgraded at the Crafting Table, which allows the axe to break harder types of logs, increases durability and damage.

The 2nd year Anniversary Update for tools now shows a small visual warning in the toolbar when close to breaking while in use.

This tool's durability is repairable in the Repair Table.
